Commisions

Status: OPEN

The colors on textile art will vary from the digital color-keys to final physical versions due to various factors such as limited color options in supplies, opting for different colors for better visual balance, and more.

For commissions of over $150 USD, a 30% non-refundable downpayment is required. This will cover time spent on designing the pattern for commission and cost of supplies. Once the design has been approved and pattern is ready to be transferred, further payments must be made for work to be continued. An additional shipping charge will be added at the end when the art is complete to mail out.

An embroidered hoop of a single or of multiple characters with no stitched background detailed. Playful patterned fabrics may be used depending on the theme and availability.

An embroidered full illustration. Sometimes other types of medias are mixed in for certain effects such as felt, fabric collaging, beading, watercolor and other paints.

French Knot Illustration

A french knot illustration is similar or a normal embroidered illustration with the added focus on an embroidery technique called french knots. These knots create a lovely texture that makes for a fun way of mimicking things like moss, grass, or sand. This however takes double the time to stitch, thus requiring it’s on category.

Budgets

I’m happy to work with budges and can combine techniques to help lower costs on some works like using felt, fabric collaging, or paint with the embroidery for larger illustrations.

Terms of service

By commissioning me (the artist), you (the client) confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms of Service.

I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any undisclosed reason.Critiques about artistic skill or style preference and edits that harm the artistic quality of the piece will be rejected.

Payment

All prices are in USD.Prices listed on the site are considered base prices and are subject to change depending on the complexity of the commission, material cost, and at my discretion. Price changes on the site will not affect already accepted commissions.When a commission is accepted a price will be sent based on what was asked and what budget was listed. This price might differ from what’s listed on the site. Reasonable negotiations on price should be made at this moment. Once the price is agreed on and invoice is sent, it is final.For commissions under $150, payment must be received in full before any work will begin.Commissions that are $150 and over will require a 30% non-refundable downpayment before any work will begin. This will cover time spent on the design and material costs. Once the pattern and color key is approved, the remaining payment must be received for any further work to be made.My preferred method of payment is through Square with Paypal as a back-up. If you require a payment plan, please contact me in advance. I will send an invoice to your email address, so please make sure you provide accurate information.Shipping costs are to be determined after the work is complete.The completed commission will be sent once full payment and shipping cost has been received.Tips are welcome but not required nor will it make your commission a higher priority.

Shipping

Unless stated otherwise, shipping costs are not included in the commission’s final price.An estimate can be share before any payments are made upon request. A more accurate cost will be calculated when the art is complete.Shipping will include insurance and tracking due to the ‘one of a kind’ nature of my textile art. Works will also be thoroughly packaged for protection and labeled with several “DO NOT BEND” labels.All works are shipping from the USA and may have some mailing restrictions depending on what country you are from.

fees

Additional fees may be applied depending on the complexity of the commission and the number of requested revisions at my discretion.I will share works-in-progress (WIPs) after each stage of the process to avoid excessive revisions. It is the your responsibility to request changes after the WIP is shared. Once a pattern and color-key has been approved, no further changes to the overall design will be made. Minor color changes however can be requested due to the nature of transforming a digital sketch into physical textile art.Revisions made because of my error after pattern and color-key has been approved are free, provided the commissioner points it out immediately. Those made because of the commissioner’s error, a mutual misunderstanding, or lack of communication may be subject to additional fees at my discretion.Deadlines for commissions under $150 must be requested no sooner than 30 days before the deadline.Deadlines for commissions of $150 or over must be requested no sooner than 60 days before the deadline.Rush deadlines may be allowed on a case-by-case basis and will incur additional fees.

Refunds and cancellations

You have the right to cancel a commission at any time for any reason. However, any work done on the commission may result in fees being deducted from the cost.I have the right to cancel a commission at any time for any reason. If this does happen, you will receive a full refund even if the commission has been started.

Usage and Rights

Commissions are for personal use only.If you wish to purchase marketing and promotional licenses, commercial licenses, or copyrights of the commission, a fee can be negotiated at any time.You have the right to upload the commission to your personal website or gallery. All signatures and/or watermarks must remain intact when uploading the artwork. Credit is not required, but is greatly appreciated.You have the right to crop or resize the commission for personal use only.You may print a copy of your commission for personal use only.You may resell personal ownership of the commission at equal value or less.I retain the rights to all artwork, including the right to make prints and merchandise. These rights may be negotiated for a fee.I have the right to repost and display commissioned work on personal websites or galleries. The work may also be used for promotional purposes.I have the right to modify, rework, and reuse cancelled commissions for any purpose. The commissioner’s original characters will not appear in the modified version.Requests to keep posts of the commission be held back till after a specific date must be disclosed before any payments are made.
